Disconnect linkemailed to owner

Built for the agency model

A common nonprofit-tech pattern: Company A runs a campaign, the donations land in Charity B's Stripe account. Company A is Cause Shield's customer and wants monitoring across all the campaigns they manage; Charity B owns the Stripe account but isn't a Cause Shield user. Third-party Stripe Connect makes that arrangement first-class.

Magic-link consent, zero seats consumed

From your Cause Shield dashboard, send an invitation to the Stripe owner. They get an email explaining what you're asking for — what Cause Shield will see (transactions, metadata, fraud signals), what it won't see (card numbers, other accounts), where the data lives (your chosen region), and a link to the DPA. One click and a Stripe OAuth handshake later, monitoring is live. The charity never creates a Cause Shield account or consumes a seat.

The Stripe owner stays in control

The confirmation email carries a persistent one-click disconnect link — no password required. When the charity revokes the connection, Cause Shield immediately stops scoring transactions on that account, you (the agency) get a notification email so you can re-invite if it was unintended, and a row in the audit log records who did what when. Both parties see the same audit trail.

Alerts route to you, not them

Fraud alerts, daily digests, and weekly summaries route to your team's configured recipients. The Stripe owner only ever receives connection-state notifications: invited, connected, disconnected. They opted into monitoring; they didn't opt into your operational firehose.

How customers use it

Three scenarios where this lands

Scenario

A digital agency running campaigns for ten charities

Each charity owns its own Stripe account. The agency invites the finance lead at each one; they authorise in minutes. Cause Shield monitors all ten in a single dashboard, surfaces fraud across the portfolio, and writes a single weekly digest the agency sends upward.

Scenario

A federation monitoring its member organisations

A national charity federation oversees twelve state chapters, each with its own Stripe. The federation invites each chapter's treasurer; chapters keep their autonomy (they can disconnect any time), the federation gets visibility into card-testing and recurring-gift health across all twelve.

Scenario

A campaign platform offering monitoring to its tenants

A peer-to-peer fundraising platform white-labels Cause Shield as the fraud-monitoring layer for its tenants. Each tenant connects their own Stripe via the magic-link flow; the platform never holds their credentials and the tenant disconnects when the campaign ends.
